Having always wanted to be able to draw well, I decided the other week to make an attempt at painting in Photoshop. I’ve never been any good at drawing/painting but have always admired the amazing matte paintings and sketches i’ve seen on the various CG forums. My first and only other attempt was pretty miserable so I guess this is my first serious attempt at it.

The subject matter is pretty boring but I figured I’d better start with something easy since I don’t really know what i’m doing yet. Hopefully when I have time i’ll be able to find some tutorials and pick up some tips so my next attempt is better. If I do find any good tutes, i’ll post them on here, so be sure to check back regularly.

Well, here it is. “Study in Red Apple” Not quite finished yet, but getting pretty close to it. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!
